Insanity Day 2: Plyometric Cardio Circuit

I guess to start, I should mention something I screwed up in yesterday's calculations. I calculated my daily caloric intake as someone who doesn't work out. Working out 5 days a week, daily caloric intake to lose weight is now 2200 calories. For extreme weight loss, it is 1648 calories. I'm going to try to stay at roughly 1700 calories a day, and the most calories I will take in a day will be 2000 calories... even though I started day 1 off horribly with way too much calories lol.

So today, I had 2 shots of protein with milk when I woke up, had 13.2 oz chicken breast for lunch with some soy sauce and 2 celery sticks. For dinner, I just had 14 oz chicken.

Calories for the day:
2 Shots of Protein: 395 Calories (Protein + Milk)
Lunch: 600 Calories (Chicken Breast, Ranch Dressing)
2 Bottles of Fat Free Powerade: 90 Calories
Dinner: 600 Calories
Arizona Green Tea: 210 Calories
Total: ~1900 Calories

Protein for the day:
2 Shots of Protein: 40 grams of Protein
Lunch: 91 grams of Protein
Dinner: 98 grams of Protein
Total: ~230 grams of Protein

Calculated with 1 oz chicken = 7 grams of protein

I was between the extreme weight loss daily calorie limit and the weight loss daily calorie limit, so I will approve... From tomorrow though, I will start eating a little bit more "fun". Fun being carbs, fruits, salads, and peanut butter...

My calves are really sore atm. :(

Insanity Day 1: Fit Test

Starting my Insanity workout... and I guess to start off, I will mention what I've eaten today.

In the morning, I got a large chocolate Hulk at Smoothie King. This lasted me through lunch until I worked out at 9pm. During the day, I had about 2 liters of water, and a bottle of Powerade. For dinner, I had 18 ounces of chicken and 2 sticks of celery.

Calories for the day:
Large Chocolate Hulk: 1600 Calories
Chicken Breast: ~1200 Calories
Ranch Dressing: 100 Calories
Total: ~2900 Calories

Protein for the day:
Large Chocolate Hulk: 60 grams of Protein
Chicken Breast: ~155 grams of Protein
Total: 215 grams of Protein

I definitely met my protein for the day, but I need to cut back on my calories. Smoothie King kinda fucked me over by giving me a large instead of the medium I asked for. I will have to start cutting down on calories starting tomorrow.

Today was the fit test, and I am definitely out of shape. Hopefully from here it gets better, but because of the fact that I didn't each lunch, I was basically about the throw up throughout the whole work out. Here are my numbers for the first fit test:

Switch Kicks: 60
Power Jacks: 44
Power Knees: 65
Power Jumps: 22
Globe Jumps: 7
Suicide Jumps: 7
Push-Up Jacks: 12
Low Plank Oblique: 38

And on Day 1, I weight 194 pounds.

Fat ftw.

3 Day Startup University of Houston

Everything feels very fresh here at 3 Day Startup University of Houston. Helping out organizing 3 Day Startup at University of Texas was more of "reunion" with all of the alumni of 3DS UT, but this is completely new. The ideas are different (obviously) and the process is different. It's a new experience but a useful one, as I'm also meeting many mentors and making connections.

Things I should keep in mind from 3 Day Startup HomeAway:
- narrow down your target (start small, then grow)
- don't go straight into coding (as a programmer, I have those tendencies of just diving straight in)

Things I should keep in mind for my upcoming idea:
- it's a huge project - take it slowly
- finish up an MVP that can be presentable to the people of 3 Day Startup
- decide exactly what way we will make money
- create a backlog of everything that needs to be done for the MVP
- get a better design flow

Motivation!
